Dabur shares drop 3% after FSSAI bars FMCG major from selling products with ‘100%’ guarantee claims

Dabur India shares fell nearly 3% after the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) barred the FMCG company from selling certain food products carrying misleading “100%” claims. The regulator said labels such as “100% Natural” and “100% Pure” violate the Food Safety and Standards (Advertising and Claims) Regulations, 2018, as they are ambiguous, unverifiable and likely to mislead consumers.
